How much eye contact should there be when you’re conversing with someone one on one? I don’t want to seem like I’m staring by maintaining complete eye contact the entire time, but I don’t want my eyes to wander because that might give the impression that I’m not interested or paying attention to what is being discussed. Sometimes I look down at papers when I need to refer to some data, but what happens when there’s no need to look away? I think I’d prefer to converse while walking next to each other since both our eyes need to be focused on our path of travel, but realistically, mobile meetings here at work aren’t very effective or efficient.
